Samsung drops Galaxy S Plus in England

The Samsung Galaxy S series has been a huge seller worldwide since its debut last year. Sammy it seems is not done with this series yet. The Samsung Galaxy S Plus is a nicely refreshed update that will be releasing on Vodaphone in the UK.

The Plus will come sporting a overclocked Hummingbird processor running at 1.4 GHz, a 4" Super AOMLED screen, 5MP camera around back, and some tasteful cosmetic additions. The Hummingbird has been around for a while. However due to its excellent graphics handling abilities and all around performance it has stuck around and prospered in all types of phones. Samsung also says that this overclocked chip will actually last over 20% longer then the regular Hummingbird. To go along with this improved battery life the Plus will sport a larger 165omAh battery to make sure that this phone lasts all day and night. Android 2.3 Gingerbread is invited to the party as well and will have the usual Touch-Wiz overlay. The phone is available now for free to anyone who signs a two year contract on Vodaphone.
